The Landmarks Preservation Commission is reviewing a proposal for renovations and additions to 136 Kane Street, a four-story Italianate-style townhouse in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Kane Street Realty, the project involves the construction of a new rear addition and rooftop expansion to the structure, which was originally built in 1910, as well as a repairs to its original brownstone façade, replacement of non-historic windows with historically appropriate units, and reconstruction of decorative elements such as cornices. The property is located at the corner of Kane Street and Cheever Place.
Construction permits have been filed for 100 Boerum Place, a 60,000-square-foot residential building in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Façade work is finishing up on the NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Clinic, a five-story medical facility at 70 Atlantic Avenue in the River Park master plan in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in house by NY Langone Health, the 89-foot-tall structure spans 160,000 square feet. The site was formerly occupied by the 12-story The Long Island College Hospital, which was purchased by Fortis for $10.1 million in 2014 and subsequently demolished. Skanska USA Building is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 339 Hicks Street and located at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street.
Exterior work is moving along at 5 River Park, a 15-story residential building in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 347 Henry Street, the structure is designed by Romines Architecture and is being developed by Fortis Property Group. D S L V Studio, a Brooklyn-based design and decor company, is in charge of the interior decor and styling, while Douglas Elliman‘s Eklund Gomes and Maroni teams are handling the sales and marketing of the 25 condominium units.
